| The
ultimate parent company is the global manufacturing group, Heitkamp &
Thumann, who specialise in the production of high precision metal parts
throughout the world. Doby Verrolec was formed with the merger of Doby Cleats
Limited and Verrolec Limited in 1999, bringing together over 50 years of
manufacturing experience. Verrolec Limited, based in London since the 1930's, supplied relay switches for the Post Office air raid warning and anti submarine defence systems during the Second World War. In 1950, being at the forefront of engineering advancements, the company introduced a range of power tools and casting equipment. Further development of the company lead to the introduction of a revolutionary concept in ductwork jointing, the "VERROMEZ" slide on flange system, which was launched to the building and construction industry in 1972. Doby Cleats Limited, based in the North East of England since 1969, specialised in cold metal roll forming, pressed parts and the manufacture of ductwork components, including its own Slide on Flange system. Their vast experience in cold rolling for the construction industry has allowed them develop a solid business in custom purpose designed profiles, from their recently extended and refurbished 7,500 sq metre facility in County Durham, the latest expansion being completed in July 1999 at a cost of £1.25m. In 2001 Doby Verrolec successfully integrated further production into their business, with their entry into the Roller Shutter door profile market, providing their high quality standards and products to a new group of customers. Doby Verrolec operates all its primary business from its headquarters in County Durham, from design through to manufacturing, supporting production and dispatch. The various manufacturing processes available within the company give our customers access to a wealth of expertise. Regional distribution warehouses provide local stock availability to suit specific customer needs, and are supported by specific highly trained external sales personnel who are fully conversant with their own market sectors requirements. |
