Doby Verrolec have recently
launched a new range of ductwork stiffeners to complement their range
of ductwork components.
The new stiffeners are manufactured in accordance with fig 19 of the HVCA
specification DW/144, to provide a simple and more economical method of
stiffening ductwork.
The DVS2 stiffener has been designed and manufactured to comply with an
S2 rating and similarly the DVS4 has been manufactured to comply with
an S4 rating.
Since the Doby 'S' Stiffener is manufactured from galvanised-coated steel,
there is no need for secondary protection, therefore not only saving money
on materials, but also on valuable time.
Further savings can made when fixing the stiffener to the ductwork, as there is no need for welding and, because the stiffener is manufactured from lighter gauge material, the fixings or fasteners can be shorter.
For convenience, the Doby Stiffener can be fitted after the ductwork jointing system has been fitted.
